Atlas of Medical Parasitology 
A project for a complete atlas of human parasitology through the contribution of every researchers and scientists who will agree to participate

The
project of the Atlas of Medical Parasitology goes on with the objective
to improve the Atlas created during the first three years of the plan.
The A.M.P.
was created for teaching purposes and during the development of the plan
became an useful means for many scientists as a source of teaching aids.
The A.M.P. received the citation of reliable sources such as
Parasitology today and The Lancet, and is now listed in the
"Internet Resources on Specific Infectious Diseases Topics" of
the Mandell, Douglas and Bennet’s "Principles and Practice of
Infectious Diseases" Fifth Edition.
Whoever wishes to contribute can send
the editor unpublished images of human parasites (microscopical,
clinical, radiological or epidemiological aspects of human parasitic
infections) by mail or E-Mail.
Pathology specimens (slide, samples) are welcome too.
The source of the preparation and the author of the images will be
acknowledged in the legend of each figure and in the page of list
of Contributors and a statement of publication will be sent to
the Author.
The Atlas will be periodically updated and supplied with new material.
Every
year an new copy of the CD-Rom of the A.M.P. will be sent to the
Contributors.
Meanwhile, the images are available to everybody and all advices and
suggestions are welcome.

Case reports and Updates in Parasitology

The Case
reports and Updates in Parasitology section is planed to
provide the opportunity to publish clinical reports or brief updates on
biological, diagnostic and epidemiological aspects of parasitic diseases.
Reports and Updates should be in agreement with the teaching purposes of
the project.
Reports and Updates should include images with a short text, max 500
words, legend included.
References (max 5) should be consecutively numbered in the text and
cited according to "Index Medicus".
Contributions will be accepted if accompanied by a statement of all the
Authors that the work has not been accepted for publication or has not
been published elsewhere.
Contributions will be reviewed by independent reviewers.
A certificate stating the
publication of the case report or of the update in the Atlas will be sent to the
Author/s.
