Taenia multiceps: dogs are the
definitive host: sheep, other mammals and,
rarely, man are infected by eating embryonated eggs.
World-wide distribution. The larvae penetrate via oral route and develop
to the coenurus stage in host's tissues.

Taenia multiceps: the lesion can
be differentiated from the cysticercus larva
for the presence in the same cyst of hundreds of protoscolices.
