Cutaneous Larva Migrans: infective strongyloid larvae of
cat and dog hookworms (mainly Ancylostoma ceylanicum and A.brasiliensis)
can penetrate human skin and migrate through the skin.
The infection is acquired by direct contact with contaminated soil or sand.
After penetration larvae migrate for weeks or months causing itchy serpiginous tracks.
